Written Content Portfolio
In My Own Words...
Past. Present. Future.
As an individual who grew up with dreams and aspirations of being a professional athlete, I must say I'm thankful for the 8th grade teacher who enlightened me about my writing ability. In presenting my official Written Content Portfolio, I'll provide a look at how one journey seamlessly led to the next!
The following is a collection of some of my favorite and most meaningful written pieces, old and new. Each is unique in its content objective and represents a distinct moment in my career. Whether writing a sports article, marketing furniture, or anything in between, I hang my hat on an ability to adapt. Hopefully, you'll find my work is something to write home about (or at least to your hiring manager!). Feel free to contact me with any inquiries.

Amazon Descriptions
Informative Marketing

Writing e-commerce product descriptions has become my primary area of expertise over the course of my professional career, as I've been asked to experiment with - and adapt to - various writing styles and brand voices. This area of my craft has taught me the importance of concise yet informative writing that piques and maintains the interest of the consumer, as well as how effective SEO practices can increase traffic to a given site -— increasing conversion rates and enhancing consumers' online shopping experiences. Below you will find a few of my most recent descriptions.
E-mail Marketing
Reaching the Consumer
The following is a collection of Best Choice Products email campaigns I wrote the copy for. In these pieces, I enjoyed the challenge of stringing together compelling words in limited space. I also looked to display an ability to create copy that readers could see in their minds. After all, an image must first be imagined before it can come to life.

Engaging Through Creativity
Social media platforms - Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to name a few - are all incredible ways for brands to connect with consumers with a fun and relatable tone. In my professional career, I've found no better time for a writer to channel their innermost creativity! Take a look below for a handful of pieces I wrote for Best Choice Products.

Tunnel Vision Sports
Post-Grad Internship
Below, you can find a list of articles I've written during my internship with Tunnel Vision Sports. While my passion lies in covering basketball, I believe this internship has played an instrumental role in helping to improve my versatility as a journalist. Deion Sanders Wants HBCU Exposure
September 2021
This article discusses football Hall-of-Famer Deion Sanders' hopes to shed more light on HBCU football players, suggesting last names should be on the backs of their jerseys as they look to gain notoriety to make it to the NFL. As a black writer, I really enjoyed writing this piece.
Fury Wilder III
October 2021
This was my first shot at covering a professional boxing match (or any boxing match for that matter). Based on my supervisor's feedback, I'd like to think I did a solid job! The article nearly landed me the opportunity to attend Canelo Alvarez vs. Caleb Plant in Las Vegas, NV. Although I wasn't afforded that opportunity in the end, I still covered the match.
Undergrad Journalism
From Sports to Daily Life
Below are a few pieces written during my Journalism internship for campus newspaper, The Eagle, in my final undergrad semester at Chadron State College - a continuation of the freelance work I had previously done for the publication. Although my professional career has commenced in marketing, my initial passion for writing developed here.
